We got healing beyond my grief: (Though Bob and Dana Warren’s foster son Derrick, came to Christ and his life began to turn around, while in prison, gangs tried recruiting him to join them and eventually murdered Derrick for refusing because of his faith. For years Dana Warren was chained with grief, anger, and unforgiveness over this. Below is her testimony.)

“When I tried the Journey Tools, I thought that I was only going to deal with just the grief of our son’s death. Little did I know that the tools would allow me and God to go much deeper than I had ever experienced. I have been raised in church my whole life, but learning that I can ask God personal questions and get answers right away was a big, big eye opener. There is just something mind blowing about God stepping in after years of confusion, sorrow, fear and anger and having Him quickly bring clarity to a situation that had weighed me down since childhood. Like I said, I thought I was going to deal with my son’s death, and now because of how the Lord is using this ministry, I have. As I extended forgiveness to those involved, Christ exchanged my anger for joy. John Lynch says, "What if it were less important that anything ever gets fixed, than that nothing has to be hidden." Authenticity speaks where having your sh-- together doesn't. Helped me work through complicated grief: I was really struggling with the untimely death of my brother when I met with Donny Godsey of Cross Care Ministries. I am already an introspective individual, but his process of sorting through grief with God has been extremely helpful for me. I had fallen into a pattern of stuffing the hard feelings down inside, but I wasn't properly dealing with them. It is inevitable that they will surface sooner or later, and I was tired of being crushed each time they did.
